Let's get Creative!!!
Midwest Mud was started in 2009 by artist Amber Parsons Myszka as a co-operative studio space. Over the years it has taken on a variety of shapes and has found its place as a vehicle of art education. In 2013 Amber began to use her studio space to hold private ceramic classes for the FM community. Since then, Amber has began to collaborate with locally owned business to bring fun and creativity to the Fargo-Moorhead area.
Amber Parsons Myszka has been working as a ceramic artist since 2009 and graduated with a BA from MSUM with an emphasis in ceramics. Amber has blended her love of patterns and imagery with her thrill for texture to create a unique style. She ties together a mixture of wheel throwing and hand building techniques to create her work. Her most recent pieces reference a juxtaposition between natural stones and manmade metals while highlighted with textile patterns. You can find her personal work on her Etsy site linked at the top of the page.
About Midwest MUD
Don't worry,get creative
"Creativity can feel intimidating for some, but when you let go and just immerse yourself in the process you will find that even the most "uncreatives" can find joy in playing with clay. Many of my students have said they find working with clay therapeutic. especially those that suffer from anxiety or depression."
